Remember Amanda Pirie Warrington

This page is not to mourn her but to celebrate her life & what she accomplished. She was doing what she loved, when tragedy struck. She fell from her horse, "Berlioz" during the cross country course at Fair Hill Horse Trials on September 20, 1997. She recieved major head injuiries, & was for unconscious several months. At age 29 on December 28, she passed away.

Amanda had a huge future ahead of her in the eventing world. She was already one of the top equestrians in the United States. She represented the U.S. in 1996 at the Blenheim Castle 3 Day Event in England, & won several other competitions. Amanda was goaling towards the 2000 Olympics. We have lost an amazing rider, my thoughts go out to her family, friends, horses, & any other person who had the privilage of meeting her.

Radnor Hunt International Three-Day Event October 12-15, 1995; 2nd place riding "Broadstone Harvest Moon"

Fair Hill International Three-Day Event CCI*** October 25-29, 1995: 9th place riding "Regal Style" & also won Gladstone Trophy for highest placed American

Represented the U.S. in 1996 at the Blenheim Castle 3 Day Event in England riding "Exodus", placed 19th

1996 AHSA National Spring CCI** Championship; 2nd Place on "Exodus"

Won 1996 AHSA National Fall CCI** Championship Radnor Three-Day Event

She was an eligible rider for the American Horse Trials Foundation

Won AHSA Spring Three Day Event Championship CCI** at Essex Horse Trials for the Burton Cup May 15-18, 1997 riding "Drizzle".
